Great North Woods Vintage Snowmobile Race Series
Pittsburg, New Hampshire
The Great North Woods Vintage Snowmobile Race Series sponsered by
Laperles IGA will have 2 races this season The first will be put on
by the Pittsburg Ridge Runners Snowmobile Club in joint venture with
Colebrook Ski Bees snowmobile Club on Jan. 5th 2008 in Pittsburg NH,
and the second will be Feb 2nd in Colebrook NH. We have seven classes
for pre 1973 single and twin fan cooled vintage snowmobiles. This
will be a snow course consisting of tight turns using burms and natural
terrain.

Sled Jam Freestyle Competition & X Games Qualifier
Gogebec County Fairgrounds, Ironwood, Michigan
The return of one of the most popular snowmobile races of the late
60s 70s, and early 80s: the Ironwood Olympus. As
it was decades ago, this will once again be the first sanctioned USSA
points race of the season and take place on the half mile flat track
at the Gogebic County Fairgrounds in Ironwood.

ESPN-Winter X Games 12
Buttermilk in Aspen, Colorado
Winter X Games 12, will feature three new events and bring the audience
to the judges table, according to organizer ESPN. Modeled after
Winter X mainstays snowmobile snocross and snowmobile freestyle, snowmobile
speed and style combines the air of freestyle and the speed of snocross
into one discipline, according to ESPN. Competitors will go head-to-head
around the course, hitting multiple jumps and obstacles. Final scores
will be based on the difficulty of tricks pulled and amount of time
racers take to ride around the full track.
