FEB 5, 2003,

Bonjour ! 10 inches to a foot of fresh snow
fell here and across the region yesterday. Trails in great,
if not almost perfect, shape with cold , sunny days
with a few flurries in the forecast. Take care,
Sarah in COLD and SNOWY St-Donat

Bonjour !

5 to 6 inches of fresh snow fell this week on top of a very solid base,
which is however, still a little icy on some corners and hillsides.

Conditions across the area to St-Michel, St-Zenon, Ste-Agathe and North
are good to excellent. More snow in the forecast in the next few days -
keep dancing !;). We have not yet had a really big snow storm this
season, so I guess you're all not dancing hard enough yet.

See y'all soon,

Sarah in COLD St-Donat

Bonjour from St-Donat !

Hey, the report dated 01 January from me looks suspiciously like the one
from 23 December ?;). Update ... Some ice pellets and a little freeing rain
Tuesday but trails are holding up well. Icy, obviously, in places,
kep doing the snow dances,

JAN 1 2003

Bonjour!

Despite freezing rain and rain last Thursday night and Friday,
our trails held up well. We received 3 or 4 inches of fresh snow over the weekend,
and there is more forecast for tonight and Wednesday. I had snowmobilers here this weekend
(hi dean, C.J., Dave and all the gang ! )

who told me this morning they had a great time and conditions were pretty good
considering we do not have huge quantities of snow.

Lake Archambault and Lake Ouareau are safe and the trail across them has been staked out.

In short, trails here, St-Zenon, St-Côme, St-Michel, the park (Mont-Tremblant) and the surrounding areas
are in fair to very good condition. With a few more inches of snow, areas further South should be in business too.

I was over by St-Jovite yesterday (not on a sled), from what I could see, the railroad bed looked reasonable.
South and West of Ste-Agathe, there is less snow than in the St-Donat, St-Zenon, St-Michel areas.

Keep doing those snow dances,

Sarah in St-Donat

(My apologies to those of you who have received this twice - I *think*; I've finally understood how
this works on the new computer) In St-Donat, Mont-Tremblant, Notre-Dame-de-la-Merci, St-Zenon and
St-Michel. The club groomed/ packed many of the trails Friday, and will continue to open up around the village here this week.

We have a reasonable amount of snow and it has been exceptionally cold ( minus 20 FAHRENHEIT last night!).

Conditions are surprisingly good for the start of the season.

There's a little bit more snow in the forecast for this week so I guess we should be having a GREAT Christmas this year !

See y'all soon, think snow !
