Well known up here for years by many of the riders and merchants alike, Sexy Ronnie, as he is known in St-Zenon, rides about five to seven thousand miles a year on a Yamahaha.
Ron and Zen became friends last year, but I can't remember where, probably a restaurant or a bar.
Ron comes up often from New York in the winter, and uses St-Zenon as a starting point. He usually heads north then east or west.
On his latest trip, he and his wife Kathie put on about 1200 miles in five or six days, visiting native communities where they enjoyed Moose soup and deer steaks.
Ron told me yesterday, as he and Kathie were getting the sleds packed up in my yard, that he wants to start 'working' as a tour guide for small groups of two or three people. He can take you to places that are still really wild, and where there is plenty of snow! Contact Zen if interested.
