The Bonus? Visit the local Zoo to see the
Buffalo, and the
Polar Bears. It makes a
great loop for the day! I love staying in
places
where they have special attractions.
And when you get back to your auberge, you can relax
in this
excellent hot tub spa! If you have a choice, you
may as well stay in a hotel
that has a nice hot spa. I don't
know about you, but my body would appreciate
this. It
takes care of back pain caused by a lumpy trail.
Jack's place is located right on the 83, the famous Trans
Quebec snowmobile highway! It runs between La
Tuque
and Roberval. This is in the snow belt
of Quebec,
where
your chance of having snow are much better
than the
southern areas. The boys also work hard to keep the trails
groomed as best
as they can.
Here is the highlight of the deal! You get to see
the family
of Polar Bears at the Zoo! There are
many other day trips of interest you
can take in
the Lac St-Jean Region, including crossing the
great sea
known as Lac St-Jean! (But follow
the advice of your guide, it can be
dangerous).
Rooms! Jack has 9 rooms, some have two beds, and
some have
three. All together, Jack can sleep up to 22
people. He has a kitchen and
dining room with great
food. Also, there are a few places to eat in the local
village of 700 residents.

are this far north,
you are really going to experience the great
white Canadian North. You aren't
in Kansas anymore! This is
the real deal. Go north from Jack's place, to Chibougamau.
It's
amazing territory, and the people are fantastic. Keep heading
north,
and you run out of white people, then you meet the
Eskimos, and they are
very friendly too! Eat some seal meat,
and have a blast! Next stop, the North
Pole!
