Around town with Zen
FEB 19 2004
At the Refuge Inn, everyone is tired and relaxed after
a day of snowmobile riding, and a good feed of Mama Micheli's meat sauce on
spaghetti, and her meat balls. Mama Mia, was that a good meal! Even Rocky
was licking his chops. Also, young Mike has his first dose
of frost bite on his cheeks. He looks tired. It was a cold day on Tuesday.

Bernard from the Motel Safari, stirs the pot, and Dennis, owner of the Auberge
Escapade tolerates!
Dennis is the president of Tourism LaMauricie, and a full sponsor in Zenwaiter.
Together these two
support the sport of snowmobiling in their area. If you stay with either or,
they will take good care of you.
Driving to Shawinigan clip HERE

I drove past the church and saw the choir stepping outside for some air after
a rigorous choir
practice. Crazy Al on the right, then Brent from Triangle Comm in NJ, then
Big country Sam, from
Mel's Market fame in East Syracuse, then on the far left, an unidentified
ex-con. Sam and Brent
are both Zen Supporters and long time Refuge clients and friends!

The fellow on the right is a snowmobile trail groomer driver, so we had to
shoot the photo
again to include him!
Nancy in the centre is the choir director,
and her Dad on the left parks the sleds in
the church parking lot. Al on right.

This is Dean Vrana wearing his brand new
Zenwaiter ski hat or "took" as we in Canada
prefer to call it. You say "ski hat".. Dean is
trying hard to smile, but that's as close as he
could manage, cause it's his first day here, and
he works too hard back home. He is stressed.

These are his friends, they are helping Dean to smile better!

We drove the three back up the hill to RVR where the whole gang prepared to
take off for a round
snowmobile trip to Parent. They said they would call in daily to give updates
and snowmobile trail reports.
They invited me to go, but I busted my tailbone on a bump a week ago, and
I thought it wise to just stay here and
limp around the Zen Shack. Dean is a big supporter of this snowmobile web
site, thanks buddy!
Stay tuned for a Parent update!
