Snow Storm Dumps One Foot
on St-Zenon & St-Michel
FEB: 25 2003

Taken the day after the storm, things back in control,
roads clear but still slippery, be careful.

 

Cristal blue skies, no pollution here.

 

 

Just down the road from Peewees Store, the trail to
St-Michel is "golden."

 

 

St-Zenon is beautiful, covered in white.

 

 

Polaris Dealer in St-Michel is throbbing with business.

 

 

St-Michel streets get cleaned, and yes, it IS legal to ride your
sled in the village, but only to the gas stations and hotels.

 

 

Zen goes into the Caisse (bank) to visit, because they are a
new sponsor and we wanted to let all riders know it! This
is the place to exchange your American currency.

 

 

Right inside the door, I run into Big Bruno (centre) from
Motel "M", in St-Michel. He is chatting with a few guys
who have just come inside to exchange some cash. They
are Lynn (l) and Jeff (r) from York PA, and they are guests
at the Glaciere in St-Zenon. I told Jeff that he is very lucky
to be riding this week, possibly the best week ever to be
snowmobiling in St-Michel!

 

 

I stuck this photo in, because I wanted to try to help
you to avoid a similar accident. He trashed the trailer pretty good,
and probably has sled damage as well. Winter roads
must be respected. Slow down.

 

 

Meanwhile, back in the bank, I had a volounteer grab this
picture of Sylvain, the manager of the Caisse Populaire in
the region. When you finally break down and buy a house up
here, you'll need to get your mortgage from him! A good man.
(Do I look fat? Yes, I have gained a ton of weight sitting at this
darn desk writing.) Move over Big Bruno, here I come!

 

 

A gift shop on the main in St-Michel, great place to pick up
souvenirs for the kids, and a gift for the wife.
