BAD
BOY PREACHER BOB
Rides
with 'Map Man' Denny from Auberge au Pied de la Chute, who gives us
an amazing guided Tour Off Trail to the Repos!

Bad-Boy preacher Bob and Zen drive from the shack to meet the 'Map
Man' at the Polaris - Bombardier dealer in St-Michel-des-Saints.

Denny and his two French buddies, plus a back up guide, and Preacher
Bob pose before leaving.

I pose with Dan from Location Haute Matawinie.

Preacher Bob says "Praise the Lord!"

Buddy from Vermont fills up.

There are three young bucks from Vermont on this journey.

We hit Lake Taurau, a giant reservoir that is now empty, and fraught
with many hidden dangers. Good thing the guide knows them all.

Buddy races across the lake, kicking up a cloud of powder.

Tracks in powder.

We stop at the north end of the big lake.

Last minute tips from Denny.

On another lake, we are laying down virgin tracks.

After crossing five or six small lakes, we arrive at Denny's cabin
where we enjoy a quick refreshment. The snow here is deep.

Ahhh, to be young!

Ahhh, to be handsome!

Ahhhhhh, to have the wisdom of old age! (hahahaha!)

We finially get up to the repos on our off trail route, gas is high
test only, and only 1.20 cnd per liter. Inside everyone eats lunch,
I leave because I am overwhelmed with cigarette smoke. I don't eat.

Outside I meet a Quebecer with amazing artwork.

It's snowing heavy as we head towards Manawan.

Once there, we show off the only two commercial buildings to our tourist
friends, and then leave.

This is the restauraunt in Manawan, but we don't stay, we get rolling
as the light is fading, and I want to get started on the road home.
It was a wonderful experience, and I thank Denny of
Auberge au Pied de la Chute for the guiding. We ride back, then eat
a very nice five course meal at Denny's table.
