Moose
Meets Car - Moose Looses
Nov 29 2006; A few days ago near Maidstone Saskatchewan,
a young nurse was driving home, and hit this moose. He ripped the
roof right off and ended up lying on the back trunk, with his head
on the back seat. The woman spent the night in hospital, has a few
broken ribs, but is okay! Amazing luck. Click
on the photo for more shots.

Moose Jaw Saskatchewan Storm
As some of you know, Zenwaiter has moved to Mossbank Saskatchewan
Canada, which is 40 minutes south of the booming Metropolis of Moos
Jaw! This photo is from yesterday, but right after I took this,
the storm slammed the city, dumping 10 to 20 cm of snow. Here in
Mossbank today, we got six inches so far and it is still falling.
It looks like winter here, and it is -10 C. I will hopefully be
heading to Quebec as soon as there is a good amount of snow and
trails are open.
December
2005 Shawinigan Snow Dump
In Early December last winter I went to Shawinigan
to harass Bernard, and this is the snow they had! I thot if I posted
this photo, it would encourage the snow God's to hit us again this
year!
This is Mr Trahan Senior on his
Fox Track snowmobile!

Jerry, Thanks again. I will be sure
to send you a group picture of our first ride, which will include
my soon-to-be 90 year old father who's been sledding since sleds
were invented. If fact here's vintage photo of Chief Running Bear
(Gabriel Trahan) of Trois Riviere one of his first sleds, a Fox
Trac. Note the year!

Scott
Sumner's Ontario Sled News Site
WWW.SLEDNEWS.COM

"There
are 1200 components to make a sled. There are three lines to complete
the Ski Doo and a sub assembly of one two or three, depending on the
model being built.
I discovered Scott's Ontario snowmobile news site this morning. I
called him, and had a great chat with him from his office in Thunderbay.
Scott has written several stories about snowmobiling in Quebec, something
that I am always watching for.
Scott is in the publishing business in Northern Ontario. His favorite
sports include Golf and Snowmobiling. His passion for the winter side
of sport, takes him all over the country writing stories of his adventures.
He has given us permission to publish his re-counting of the factory
tour in Valcourt Quebec. He takes us through the factory; it's a great
ride!

Scott Sumner Tours the Ski-Doo
Plant!
"It was a real treat to visit the Ski Doo manufacturing
facilities on October 28th this year. My first snowmobile happened
to be a 1969 Ski Doo Qlympic 12.3 that my father bought in the fall
of 1968. As a youngster
of eleven I began snowmobiling and getting to see the manufacturing
of a Ski-Doo snowmobile from scratch was very fun. It was also interesting
to see how the plant operated, having toured both the Polaris and
Arctic Cat plants in the recent past. "Get
the whole story here - it's a good read!
