For the past eight years, this particular FAT LADY has
appeared only once a year on our site, to herald the end of another
snowmobile season, and the beginning of spring. I hesitated to stick
her up yet, because thousands of people are still riding out there,
but realistically, many regions in Canada and the USA have quit grooming
the trails, and fuel in the bush is getting harder to find. Riding now
is getting dangerous in many ways, and it's really only for the experienced
adventurous types, who really know their area and know what they're
doing. For the rest of us, it's over. It's been the absolute best season
in ten years or more. Time to get out the bikes! zw

camera while Sledding Olympia,Washington to McCall, Idaho: A camera
with irreplaceable photos miraculously makes way back to rightful owner.
New mom Jaime Card of Olympia poses for a photo with her son, Jagger,
and boyfriend, Lee Walch. Card thought the digital photo, which had
yet to be downloaded off the camera, was gone forever when Walch took
the camera snowmobiling in Idaho and lost it in the snow on Brundage

Apr 1 2008: (real picture, not an April fools joke)
Hey Zen, That's our dog on the roof of the Relais 22 lodge. I just
completed my seven day shift and I'm back at home in LaTuque. All week
we had snowmobilers drop in for gas and a quick lunch. Many of them
had ridden up from Quebec City, or even farther. Everyone says the trails
are just amazing, and with the warm sun, it's the best sledding ever.
We have about twenty snowmobile trailers in our parking. The guys leave
them here, because they know we've never had a theft up here. Kevin.

Drunk Snowmobiler injures dog in Iditarod

Beautiful nine year old Zorro,a lead sled dog
for the Mackey team, has a 50 percent chance of being able to walk again,
after a drunk snowmobiler piled into the dogsled, during the race! In
Alaska, sled dogs and mushers have to share the trails with snowmobilers.
Alcohol was involved in this accident. This makes me furious.

Shania & Zen - Together Again
April 1 2008 - - Timmins Ontario. Wedding bells are in
the air, as Shania and Zen finally decide to tie the knot. After months
of speculation by the Paparazzi, the engagement announcement came, directly
from the happy couple at the Motel Six bar in Timmins Ontario this morning,
where there was a huge party going on. The media was all over it. When
asked how the couple would fair, given the enormous wealth of the Zenman,
and the relative poverty of Shania's side, Shania replied, ' I didn't
choose Zen because of his money, it was pure love! I love his smile,
I love his sense of humour, and I especially love his bald spot."
This afternoon, the happy couple is winging their way south to Puerta
Vallarta, where they plan to swim with the dolphins. "I love
to snowmobile, said Zen, and in fact, that's how we first met, but this
winter has gone on long enough. We just want to be together somewhere
warm." Although they have not set a date yet, The Canadian
Press is already predicting this will be the Canadian wedding event
of the year. (April Fools)

Two Sault Ste. Marie Ontario families, have a long road ahead of them
while caring for their loved ones, who suffered life threatening injuries
in a snowmobile collision near Mark's Bay about three weeks ago.
Things appeared grim just two weeks ago,
Matt was legally pronounced brain dead in Sudbury, but only for
a brief time, then by a miracle, he recovered. "Matt had his ventilator
taken out for a few minutes and was able to say a few words to his father
and mouth the words "I Love You" to his fiance."He also
got to watch a video of his daughter, and he cried because he misses
her".
"Lucas is doing good, he is stable and talking a little bit. They
are slowly taking him off the morphine" said friend Joey Wierzbicki.

These are simple working folks, and as we all know, making ends meet
these days is difficult for a young family, even when they are in good

Snowmobile Calendar Shoot in Minnesota
Mar 19 2008: Janesville Minnesota - - Last Sunday,
Zen got a chance to 'work' as the "official assistant
to the wardrobe coordinator" on the final swimsuit snowmobile
calendar 2009 shoot of the year. "It's a tough job",
said Travis, the owner of Double Xtreeme Snowmobile Calendars based
in Janesville Minnesota, "that's why we called on the Zen-Man
to help us out. We had him standing by with a blanket, in the event
of any possible wardrobe malfunction (remember Janet) that might occur
during the shoot. He did a fine job. Next year he has asked to be the
official body oil application technician. We are considering his request,
but given his age and physical conditions, we are concerned that he
might suffer a massive cardiac arrest or worse!" Read the rest
