The Refuge Inn on the Lake
New Chalet completed DEC 27 2002

The Refuge Inn has five rooms in all. Here from the lake, we see the 12 x 12 Cabin which
accommodates two to three people. Perfect for a couple with one child, or two adults.

The room features one double bed on the bottom,
and a single above. The cost is 30 per person,
minimum two people. It also has a lake view.

The room stays cozy with this mini wood stove.

This is the new chalet. Upstairs there are two rooms which can sleep five people each.
These two rooms have their own bathroom with shower and sink. They also have their own
Baths in the actual room. The "Deluxe" room also features a balcony, a lake view,
and a jet bath. The cost for this room is 55.cnd per person, minimum three people.

The Deluxe room is clean and new and the beds are very
comfortable. It can sleep five people comfortably.

The Deluxe room has a jet tub that is surrounded by new ceramic tile, and new towels.
The walls and vaulted ceilings are are finished in warm rough pine. This tub soothes the
muscles after a long day of riding.

The Deluxe room floors are all done in a floating floor which stays very clean.
With two sliding windows facing the lake, the light in this room is beautiful.

"Chemin Room"
The room across the hall also has a vaulted ceiling and it's
own bathroom with shower, toilet and sink. The view from its
two windows give onto the snowmobile trail.



The Chemin room has one double bed, and three single beds.

It also features a big bathtub on feet in the room. This is a perfect tub for a good hot soak.

Downstairs on the main floor we have build a kitchen to make breakfast for you.
A good hot serving of bacon and eggs gets the day off to a great start!

In the original Refuge, we have two large comfortable rooms which share two bath rooms,
The Alouette Room which we see here with the balcony view of the lake, and the Balade
room, which has the view of the snowmobile trail and the woods.

The Alouette room and the Balade rooms both have their own private entrances.
Here we see the beauty of the half log construction, (before the Chalet was added.)
The rooms are warm and quiet, and all guests can lock their sleds into the heated
garage below.

Crazy Al can help to set up your sled, he has all the necessary tools. If you need parts,
Al will call the dealer for you and help you get what you need. He can also book a
rental sled for you if needed.

The Alouette room and the Balade room have excellent balcony views. Each of these
rooms can accommodate up to five people, and the cost is 35. Per night per person.

Both these rooms have new comfortable beds, a television with satellite, and a VCR.

There are two shared bathrooms, one has a toilet and a sink, the other has a toilet
and a shower. Everything is new and clean.

Crazy Al demonstrates for us! He insists on keeping
everything squeaky clean.

Here we see Al taking a quick break from his labours, enjoying the lake view, with
all the sleds out there racing back and forth. He calls it the Lake of Snowmobile Drags!

Every day throughout the winter, you can watch dozens of sleds drag back and forth,
punctuated by the occasional airplane landing on skis. The area also boasts over 1,000 kms
of snowmobile trails which loop out from the refuge to many beautiful areas.

Just the drive up here is a good escape. See you soon.
